Cycling day trip from Guri-si to Seongnam-si

Spin out from Guri-si’s riverside parks—this city also hosts the UNESCO‑listed Donggureung Royal Tombs—then drop onto the Han River bike path. Cruise west with big-sky river views before turning south onto the Tancheon stream trail for an easy, greenway glide into Seongnam.

It’s about 33 km with gentle rolling (around 260 m of total climbing). You’ll spend most of the ride on dedicated cycleways, with brief links on quiet streets and a couple of pedestrian areas—just ease off the pace around walkers. Surfaces are mostly asphalt and nicely paved; a few spots can vary near underpasses.

Riverside convenience stores, rest stops, and water taps pop up regularly, so snacks are sorted. Keep an eye out for skyline glimpses near Jamsil before you head up Tancheon.

Finish in Seongnam-si—South Korea’s first planned city—built around the Tancheon green corridor. Roll into Bundang for a coffee, loop Bundang Central Park, or detour to Pangyo Techno Valley if you’re feeling curious. A relaxed, mostly car-free city-to-city ride.
