Quick ride by bicycle from Hanam to Wabu

Spin out from Hanam’s riverside parks and roll onto the Namhangang (Han River) bike path toward Wabu. It’s an easy, mostly flat 13.3 km ride with gentle ups and downs (about 130 m total), and the surface is almost entirely smooth asphalt. Roughly 70% is on dedicated cycleway, with just a few quiet-road links.

Expect classic river views, wide reed beds, and plenty of spots to pull over for photos. Midway, you can detour toward Paldang Dam for a look at the gates and broad waterway. Hanam itself sits just east of Seoul and is known for its riverside green spaces and Starfield Hanam, one of Korea’s largest malls—handy if you need last‑minute snacks. Wabu, a township of Namyangju, is a chill gateway to the upper Han; cafés cluster near Paldang Station on the Jungang Line if you want a train back.

Tips: watch for joggers and families on weekends, and bring a light if you’ll be riding near dusk along the river.
