Quick ride by bicycle from Croydon to Sydney

Spin out from leafy Croydon, known for its Federation-era homes and the heritage “Strand” shopping strip by the train station, and head east on a mostly car-light route. You’ll link together dedicated cycleways and quiet back streets (about 60% on paths), with smooth paved surfaces almost all the way. Many riders pick up the GreenWay along Hawthorne Canal, then roll toward Lilyfield and glide over the Anzac Bridge shared path for skyline views before dropping into the CBD’s protected lanes.

It’s roughly 15 km with around 240 m of climbing—mostly gentle rollers with a couple of short pinches, nothing too long. Expect a few shared or pedestrian areas near parks and the city; just cruise through courteously.

Finish in central Sydney near the harbour, with easy access to Circular Quay, the Opera House, and a galaxy of coffee stops. Allow about an hour at an easy pace, plus time for photos on the bridge.
