Cycling day trip from Valencia to Sollana

This is a nice, relaxed ride from the vibrant city of Valencia down to the peaceful town of Sollana—about 29 km in total, so perfect for a half-day adventure!

You’ll roll out from Valencia’s historic center, known for its futuristic City of Arts and Sciences and lively tapas scene. The route is mostly flat (max elevation is just under 26 meters!) with a gentle overall descent, making it beginner-friendly. About half the surfaces are paved (with a good chunk on smooth asphalt and some concrete). You’ll spend most of your time on quiet roads (over 60%) and dedicated cycleways, so expect a chill vibe without much traffic.

Heading south, you’ll skirt the stunning Albufera Natural Park, famous for its rice paddies and as the birthplace of paella. Take in big skies and wide open fields before coasting into Sollana, a charming small town deep in the Valencian countryside.
