Cycling day trip from Hvide Sande to Ringkøbing

This is a super pleasant ride from Hvide Sande to Ringkøbing, taking you right through the heart of West Jutland’s windswept coastal landscape. Starting in Hvide Sande—a charming fishing town wedged between the roaring North Sea and calm Ringkøbing Fjord—you’ll head north towards Ringkøbing, following mostly smooth, paved cycle paths that are perfect for a relaxed spin.

The route is pretty flat and easy-going, with only gentle inclines (don’t worry, you’ll hardly notice them). More than 90% is on good asphalt, and almost half the way is on dedicated cycleways, so you can take it easy and soak up the scenery—sand dunes, grazing sheep, and lots of fresh sea air. There’s just a tiny bit of gravel near the start, but most of your ride will be a breeze.
