Quick ride by bicycle from Hammersmith to Clerkenwell

This ride takes you from lively Hammersmith in West London over to the buzzing creative hub of Clerkenwell. You’ll cover just over 16 km—mostly on smooth asphalt and quiet roads, with a huge chunk of the route taking advantage of London’s growing cycleways.

Kick off by the Thames in Hammersmith, a neighborhood famous for its riverside pubs and the iconic Hammersmith Apollo. You’ll cruise through Kensington and past Hyde Park, rolling along some of London’s best cycling infrastructure. There’s a gentle climb or two, but nothing too punishing—the route never goes much over 35 meters above sea level.

Just over an hour of cycling later, you’ll arrive in Clerkenwell, an area long known for its vibrant food scene, historical buildings, and design industries.
