By bicycle from Clifton to Shillington

Most of the way is blissfully calm: over 85% of the trip is on peaceful roads—you might spot more tractors than cars! There’s a gentle ascent and descent as you roll past fields and hedgerows, and a smidge of unpaved or track riding keeps things interesting, but it’s nearly all smooth going.

You’ll finish up in Shillington, a lovely village set against a backdrop of gently rolling hills. It’s well-known locally for its impressive 13th-century church perched on the hill, definitely worth a look before you ride home or pop into the local pub.
