By bicycle from Bristol to Whitchurch

This ride takes you from the vibrant heart of Bristol to the quieter village of Whitchurch, just a bit over 12 km to the south. You’ll start in Bristol—a city known for its thriving music scene, historic harborside, and a great coffee stop or two.

The route is mostly split between dedicated cycleways and quiet roads, so you can cruise along without much traffic stress. Surfaces are largely paved or asphalt, but do watch out for the odd paving stone or less-finished stretch. You’ll climb just over 100 meters overall, with a max elevation of about 90 meters—enough for a little workout, but nothing too intimidating.
