By bicycle from Rotterdam to Delft

This is a great, relaxed ride from Rotterdam to Delft—two iconic Dutch cities with lots to offer! You’ll cover just over 17 km, mostly along smooth, dedicated cycleways. Almost the whole route is paved, with plenty of asphalt, so you won’t have to worry about rough patches. The journey is super gentle: you’ll barely notice the 22-meter climb or the slightly bigger descent, and the highest point sits at only around 16 meters above sea level—very Dutch!

Rotterdam is famous for its modern architecture and vibrant waterfront. It’s a cool city to roll out from, and as you pedal past green spaces and peaceful neighborhoods, you’ll gradually make your way to historic Delft. Delft is charming—with centuries-old canals, cobblestone streets, and that instantly recognizable blue pottery (Delftware). Take extra time to enjoy the old town when you arrive!
