By bicycle from Hoek van Holland to The Hague

This is a lovely route starting right by the sea at Hoek van Holland, a lively port town known as a gateway between the Netherlands and the UK—and even the western end of the famous Rhine Cycle Route. Setting off, you’ll quickly leave the salty breeze of the beach behind, following smooth Dutch cycle paths (mostly asphalt and very flat!) as you pass through a mix of green parks and quiet suburban areas.

You'll spend almost the entire ride on dedicated cycleways, making it safe and relaxing whether you're a seasoned cyclist or just out for an adventure. With only very gentle climbs along the way (don't worry, the most you'll rise is about 7 meters!), it’s a breeze all the way to The Hague.

Arriving in The Hague, you'll roll into one of the Netherlands’ most famous cities, home to the Dutch Parliament, the International Court of Justice, and striking royal palaces. A perfect blend of nature, city, and Dutch cycling culture packed into less than 20 kilometers!
