By bicycle from Leonding to Traun

This is an easygoing cycling route starting in Leonding, a charming suburban town just west of Linz, and winding south to Traun. The ride is about 7.5 km long, mostly on smooth, paved paths—perfect if you’re looking for a relaxing cruise without too much traffic or strenuous climbing (only about 34 meters up).

Leonding is known for its leafy residential neighborhoods, and you’ll follow mostly dedicated cycling paths (94%!) as you roll toward Traun. Traun itself sits along the river of the same name, with a nice town center and plenty of green spaces if you want to take a break at the finish.

The route is super manageable and suitable for riders of all levels. You’ll get a gentle downhill as you approach Traun, so it’s a nice way to end! Just grab your bike, enjoy the scenery, and don’t forget to explore Traun’s riverside once you arrive.
