Cycling day trip from Bad Kreuzen to Spitz

This scenic ride kicks off in Bad Kreuzen, a charming market town best known for its historic castle and healing spa waters. You'll weave your way southeast for nearly 80 km, rolling through the peaceful Upper Austrian countryside. Expect a blend of surfaces—mostly smooth asphalt and quiet roads, with plenty of variety thanks to paths and some tracks.

Along the route, you’ll enjoy just the right mix of uphills and relaxing descents (over 1,100 m of climbing!), peaking around 600 meters elevation. The steady downhills toward the end reward your efforts as you head into the Wachau Valley.

Your adventure finishes in Spitz, a postcard-perfect village on the banks of the Danube, famous for its vineyards and as one of the prettiest wine towns in Austria.
