By bicycle from Innsbruck to Ampass

This short ride takes you from the lively heart of Innsbruck to the picturesque village of Ampass, just east of the city. Starting in Innsbruck, you’ll cruise through a city famous for its alpine backdrop and vibrant old town—keep an eye out for the golden-roofed Goldenes Dachl! The route is almost entirely on smooth asphalt and devoted cycleways, so it's a relaxing ride perfect for all levels.

It's mostly flat with a gentle ascent and descent—nothing too taxing, so you can take in the mountain views instead of huffing and puffing. As you approach Ampass, you’ll notice the scenery turning peacefully rural. Ampass itself is known for traditional Tyrolean charm and panoramic views back toward Innsbruck and the Nordkette mountains. If you’ve packed a snack, the village center is a great spot to stop and soak it all in before heading back.
