Cycling day trip from Bergheim to Bad Reichenhall

This scenic cycling route starts in Bergheim, a laid-back suburb just north of Salzburg and known for its rustic charm and proximity to rolling Salzburger landscapes. From here, you’ll ride about 21 kilometers south-west to reach Bad Reichenhall, a lovely Bavarian spa town nestled in the foothills of the Alps and famous for its historic salt production and relaxing thermal baths.

The ride is mostly on paved roads and smooth bike paths, keeping it comfortable for any type of bike. Expect a gentle ascent of just under 200 meters with lovely rural views, passing quiet country roads and peaceful villages along the way. The descent into Bad Reichenhall is a breeze and gives you a nice glimpse of alpine scenery before rolling into town.
