Cycling day trip from Zehdenick to Wesenberg

Roll out from Zehdenick on the Havel and head north into big-sky pine forests and lake country. It’s about 77 km of mostly smooth riding: roughly 80% paved with some short gravel and cobbled bits sprinkled in. The profile is friendly—around 470 m of gentle up-and-down and low max elevation—so you can settle into a steady rhythm.

Expect a mix of quiet roads, forest paths, and a few tracks as you follow the Havel toward the Mecklenburg Lake District. Lakeside pauses are easy to find, and waterside cafés pop up along the way. Zehdenick itself is known for its brickmaking heritage—check out the nearby Ziegeleipark if you have time before rolling.

You finish in Wesenberg, a small town between lakes with a medieval castle (Burg Wesenberg) and easy access to boating and the Müritz-area waterways. Perfect spot for a post-ride swim or an ice cream by the Woblitzsee.
