By bicycle from Jerusalem to Old City

You’ll tackle a couple of climbs (around 78 meters of ascent overall), but you’ll get even more downhill—perfect for catching glimpses of those iconic golden stone buildings whizzing by.

Most of your ride is on paved or asphalt roads, but watch out for some sections with cobblestones and paving stones, especially as you approach the Old City—makes for a bumpy, atmospheric finish! The end point, the Old City, is seriously special: it’s packed with sites holy to Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, and is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Park your bike at the Jaffa Gate and take a stroll inside—don’t forget your camera!
