Cycling day trip from Waren to Krakow am See

This scenic cycling route takes you from the lakeside town of Waren (Müritz), right at the heart of the beautiful Mecklenburg Lake District, all the way to charming Krakow am See. You’ll cover just under 52 km, rolling mostly on quiet roads, with a pleasant mix of paved and some gentle gravel or stony stretches. There are a few gentle climbs (about 220 meters of ascent), but nothing too tough—perfect for a relaxed day out.

Waren is known for its beautiful old town and as a gateway to the Müritz National Park, making an ideal starting point. En route, you’ll glide past a patchwork of lakes and forests typical of this region. The final destination, Krakow am See, sits on the edge of its own serene lake—perfect for a cooling dip or a relaxing end-of-ride stroll.
