Set off from history-rich Tangermünde, a charming medieval town perched on the banks of the Elbe River, renowned for its red-brick Gothic architecture and fairy-tale vibes. From here, you’ll roll south for about 81 km to the vibrant city of Magdeburg.

This ride is a smooth one for the most part—expect paved roads about 90% of the way, mostly asphalt, with a few sections of cobblestone and concrete, plus a little gravel and unpaved track to spice things up. The route is mostly flat, with a gentle ascent of just over 170 meters, making it accessible for almost any cyclist.
