Cycling day trip from Speyer to Worms

Set out from the charming city of Speyer, known for its stunning Romanesque cathedral (a UNESCO World Heritage site!) and riverfront vibes, and follow this super-scenic 46 km ride north to the historic city of Worms. The route is smooth and mostly flat, with just around 110 meters of ascent and descent—so it’s straightforward for most cyclists.

You’ll roll along the banks of the Rhine for much of the route, enjoying mostly paved surfaces (asphalt prevails, with some stretches of paving stones for variety). The way alternates between bike paths, quiet roads, and some peaceful tracks, keeping things chill and car-light throughout.
