Quick ride by bicycle from Poing to Kirchheim bei München

This ride takes you from the charming town of Poing, just east of Munich, to the lovely Kirchheim bei München—a great little spin if you’re after a relaxed, semi-rural escape close to the city. The distance is a bit over 7 km, so it’s perfect as a quick morning ride or a breezy afternoon outing, and the route is almost entirely flat (you’ll barely notice the gentle 13-meter descent).

You’ll mostly be cruising along quiet paths and side roads, with a smooth surface under your wheels for nearly the whole way—lots of asphalt, plus a dab of paving stones to keep things interesting. The roads are usually calm, making this a stress-free ride, even for less experienced cyclists.
