Cycling day trip from Neustrelitz to Fürstenberg

This ride takes you from the charming town of Neustrelitz all the way down to Fürstenberg, covering just under 31 kilometers through some lovely Mecklenburg countryside. Neustrelitz, with its baroque palace gardens and central star-shaped marketplace, is a real gem to start your day. The route is mostly on quiet roads and smooth cycleways, so you can just settle in and enjoy the scenery.

Along the way, you’ll cruise past lakes and forests, typical for the Mecklenburg Lake District—a region known for its pristine waters and tranquil vibes. There’s a bit of gentle up and down (around 160 meters of ascent), but nothing wild, and you’re mostly riding on asphalt or good paved surfaces.

As you roll into Fürstenberg, you’re arriving at another lakeside town, famous for its pretty waterways and historic sites, including the poignant Ravensbrück Memorial.
