By bicycle from Munich to Unterhaching

This cycling route takes you from the heart of Munich, famous for its vibrant Marienplatz and historical beer gardens, down to the quiet suburb of Unterhaching. The ride is just over 12 kilometers and mostly on paved paths, making it ideal for all bikes. You'll head mostly south, gliding out of the busy city into the more relaxed atmosphere of Munich’s outskirts.

Expect a gentle ascent of about 54 meters along the way—nothing too strenuous—and the route is largely flat with a few mild ups and downs. You'll spend most of your time on dedicated bike paths and quiet roads, which means less traffic and a more relaxing ride.
