Quick ride by bicycle from Monheim am Rhein to Leverkusen

This ride takes you from the charming riverside town of Monheim am Rhein down to the lively city of Leverkusen—a great 14 km journey mostly on smooth, paved surfaces, so you can really enjoy the scenery without worrying about rough patches. Starting in Monheim, well-known for its quirky Old Town and picturesque Rhine promenade, you'll set out along a network of dedicated cycleways and quiet roads. The route is pretty flat, gaining just around 19 meters in elevation—so it’s perfect for a relaxed pedal, with very little climbing.

As you cruise southward, you'll pass through green spaces and riverside paths, with only short stretches on less familiar surfaces. About half the ride is on actual cycleways, meaning you get a nice blend of open road and peaceful paths, far from busy traffic.
