Quick ride by bicycle from Hattersheim to Sulzbach

A gentle spin from Hattersheim to Sulzbach with plenty of quiet stretches. Roll out of Hattersheim am Main—home to the Rosarium and the Eddersheim lock—and weave onto farm paths toward Kriftel. Expect mostly paved riding (nearly all asphalt or paving stones) with long sections on dedicated paths and very little traffic. You’ll dip under the A66 and keep skirting fields and stream-side green strips as the Taunus foothills appear ahead.

It’s about 13.4 km with a mild 67 m of climbing, so it’s friendly on any bike. Surfaces are smooth almost the whole way; a few paving-stone bits in town might rattle skinny tires briefly. Busy roads are rare.

You’ll finish in Sulzbach (Taunus), a village with orchard vibes and easy access to the Main-Taunus-Zentrum if you’re in a coffee-or-snack mood. For a detour, explore Sulzbach’s traditional core before looping back or continuing toward Schwalbach and Eschborn.
