Cycling day trip from Hanover to Wennigsen

This is a lovely ride starting right in the heart of Hanover, a vibrant city known for its lush parks and rich history, then heading southwest to the charming town of Wennigsen. The route is about 22 km and should take you a couple of relaxing hours – perfect for a morning or afternoon spin.

You’ll roll out from Hanover mostly along smooth, paved paths and quiet roads, making it a stress-free ride whether you’re alone or with friends. Along the way, you’ll enjoy gentle countryside vibes and only mild hills (less than 100 m of ascent), so there’s nothing too strenuous to worry about.

As you approach Wennigsen, you’ll notice the scenery becoming a bit greener – the town sits at the foot of the Deister hills, which are known for their lovely hiking and biking trails. Wennigsen itself is a peaceful spot, great for a post-ride coffee or pastry before heading back.
