Quick ride by bicycle from Glowe to Sagard

This breezy 12.6 km ride takes you from the relaxed seaside atmosphere of Glowe, all the way to the village of Sagard in the heart of Rügen Island. Glowe, known for its sandy beach and stunning views across the Jasmund lagoon, is a lovely spot to kick off your ride.

The route itself is a mostly smooth affair, with over 90% paved surfaces—mainly asphalt—so you'll cruise along comfortably. The ride winds gently inland, with a pleasant ascent of just over 80 meters, and takes you along quiet roads and dedicated bike paths, making it peaceful and safe for cyclists. There’s a little bit of cobblestone and concrete, so keep an eye out for those sections, but otherwise, it’s easy-going.
