By bicycle from Freudenstadt to Baiersbronn

You’ll start off in Freudenstadt, known for its massive market square (one of Germany’s largest!) and beautiful arcades—definitely worth a coffee stop before you pedal off.

The ride is pretty manageable at around 7.7 km, mostly on quiet roads and smooth asphalt. You’ll enjoy a gentle ascent at first, but mostly you’ll be cruising downhill, dropping over 200 meters in elevation as the landscape unfolds into lush valleys and dense forest. The views are classic Black Forest: tall pines, rolling hills, and maybe even a deer if you’re lucky. With hardly any busy roads along the way, it’s a super relaxing trip.

You’ll glide into Baiersbronn, a foodie paradise with several Michelin-starred restaurants and delightful cake shops—treat yourself after your ride! This is a perfect short tour if you want nature, tranquility, and a taste of Black Forest charm.
