Quick ride by bicycle from Bad Dürrheim to Villingen-Schwenningen

Roll out from the spa town of Bad Dürrheim—famous for its Solemar brine baths and Kneipp tradition—and head toward Villingen-Schwenningen on a relaxed hop across the Baar plateau. It’s about 7.6 km with a gentle net climb (~70 m), almost entirely on smooth, paved surfaces. Expect a calm mix of separated paths and quiet roads, great for everyday bikes and families.

Leaving the Kurpark area, follow cycleway signs toward Schwenningen/Villingen, skirting open fields and small woodland patches. As you reach Villingen-Schwenningen, you can swing toward Schwenningen to visit the Clock Industry Museum, or continue into Villingen’s medieval old town with its gate towers and city walls—perfect for a post-ride coffee.

With clean tarmac most of the way, it rides quickly and comfortably. Need a recovery dip later? Bad Dürrheim’s Solemar and the Black Forest sauna village are a soothing way to finish the day.
