Cycling day trip from Eyvigues-et-Eybènes to Carsac-Aillac

Get ready for a scenic ride through the heart of the Dordogne! Starting in the quiet village of Eyvigues-et-Eybènes, you’ll set off on a route that’s just over 32 km long—perfect for a half-day adventure. Expect a good mix of smooth asphalt and peaceful paved backroads as you wind south, with a few gentle climbs and some nice, breezy descents (in fact, you’ll descend more than you ascend!).

Much of this route is on safe, low-traffic cycleways and quiet roads, letting you soak up those classic Périgord views: rolling farmlands, woodlands, and the odd honey-stone village. The last stretch brings you into Carsac-Aillac, known for its historic churches and proximity to the beautiful Dordogne River.
