Cycling day trip from Colmar to Mulhouse

This scenic ride takes you from the charming town of Colmar, famous for its half-timbered houses and colorful old town, all the way down to Mulhouse, a lively city known for its museums and industrial heritage. The route is a bit over 51 km, so it’s perfect for a leisurely half-day adventure or a solid morning workout.

You'll mostly pedal on tranquil farm tracks and quiet country roads, winding through picturesque Alsatian villages, vineyards, and gentle fields. Expect mostly paved and smooth asphalt surfaces, but there are some sections of unpaved or gravel paths—nothing too wild, just enough to keep things interesting!

There’s a mild ascent to start, but overall, the ride is quite flat and very manageable. When you roll into Mulhouse, treat yourself with a visit to the world-famous Cité de l’Automobile or relax in one of the city’s leafy parks. Don’t forget to grab a pastry or two—Alsace does them right!
