By bicycle from Amboise to Civray-de-Touraine

This ride takes you from the charming town of Amboise, famous for its stunning château overlooking the Loire and as the final resting place of Leonardo da Vinci, to the peaceful village of Civray-de-Touraine, tucked among vineyards and gentle hills. It's a relaxed 16.7 km journey, mostly on quiet roads with a little bit of cycleway sprinkled in — perfect for soaking up those country vibes without much traffic.

You'll face just enough hills (about 144 meters of ascent) to keep things interesting, but nothing too intense. The route is mostly paved (asphalt, mostly), so you won’t have to worry about rough terrain. Depending on the time of year, the landscapes switch between sunflower fields and rows of grapevines.

Stop for a coffee in Amboise’s old town before you head off, and maybe reward yourself with a pastry in Civray-de-Touraine at the end — you’ve earned it! All in all, this is a delightful little spin through the heart of the Loire Valley.
