Cycling day trip from Zánka to Balatonfüred

This scenic cycling route starts in Zánka, a charming village on the north shore of Lake Balaton, famous for its youth camps and relaxed lakeside vibe. From here, you’ll ride about 26 km east towards Balatonfüred, one of the Balaton region’s most historic and bustling resort towns.

The route is pleasantly smooth: roughly 94% paved and mostly on cycleways or quiet roads, so you can pedal in peace and enjoy the gorgeous lake views. There’s a bit of an ascent (about 150 meters), but nothing too daunting, and you’ll be rewarded with gentle descents as you approach your destination.

Along the way, take in the lush vineyards, rolling hills, and occasional glimpses of the sparkling water. Balatonfüred welcomes you at the end of your ride, known for its lovely promenade, grand villas, and iconic Anna Ball—a perfect place to unwind by the lake.
