Quick ride by bicycle from Velence to Pákozd

This relaxed 12 km cycling route starts in Velence, a lovely lakeside town known for its beaches and family-friendly resorts along Lake Velence. You’ll cruise mostly on smooth, paved paths—about half of the ride is on dedicated cycleways, with the rest winding through quiet roads past pretty countryside.

The ride is gentle, with just a few mild climbs and a max elevation of about 140 meters, so it’s perfect for a laid-back spin or anyone new to cycling. You’ll be rolling past some scenic Hungarian landscapes before reaching Pákozd, a village famous for its key role in the Hungarian Revolution of 1848 and its iconic military memorial park.

With nearly all of the route surfaced and only a handful of cars, you can really relax and take in the views. Pack a picnic and enjoy the ride!
