Cycling day trip from Szentendre to Pilisszentkereszt

This route takes you from the charming Danube-side town of Szentendre—famous for its artsy vibe and colorful Baroque streets—up into the cool, forested hills of Pilisszentkereszt. It’s a 23 km ride that promises not just a workout, but also some fantastic scenery.

You’ll be mostly rolling on quiet country roads with smooth asphalt for much of the way, though expect a few short stretches on concrete and even a touch of old cobblestone. The climb out of Szentendre is steady and ramps up as you wind into the Pilis hills—brace yourself for over 650 meters of ascent!
