Cycling day trip from Siófok to Balatonalmádi

Set off from Siófok, the unofficial “capital” of Lake Balaton’s southern shore, famous for its lively summer vibes and historic water tower. The route to Balatonalmádi is a relaxed 38 km, mostly on smooth, paved surfaces (hello 91% paved!), so you’ll get to cruise comfortably without worrying about rough roads. It’s mainly on quiet side roads and proper cycleways, making it ideal for a chill ride with lots of great lake views.

You’ll gently climb just over 200 meters in total, so it’s not too strenuous—perfect for casual cyclists or anyone looking to soak in the scenery instead of sweating every hill. As you approach Balatonalmádi, look out for red-roofed villas and beaches that invite you to park the bike and dip your toes in the water.
