Quick ride by bicycle from Esztergom to Štúrovo

This is a scenic, easygoing ride connecting two historic towns right on the banks of the Danube! You’ll start in Esztergom, famous for its stunning basilica—the biggest in Hungary—which towers over the town and is well worth a pre-ride visit or photo op. The route is a little over 5 km, mostly on quiet roads and asphalt, so it feels safe and smooth for a relaxed cruise. You’ll follow the river, crossing the impressive Maria Valeria Bridge—a symbol of friendship between Hungary and Slovakia. In just under 30 minutes, you’ll roll into Štúrovo, a small Slovakian town with lovely riverside vibes and plenty of cafes for a post-ride treat. The ascent and descent are minimal, so this is an excellent ride for all fitness levels. Make sure to bring your camera for those awesome Danube views!
