Cycling day trip from Prague to Mělník

Get ready for a scenic escape from the heart of Prague to the charming town of Mělník, cycling just under 60 km! Your journey starts in Prague, famous for its beautiful Old Town, bustling Charles Bridge, and castle skyline. You’ll follow the Vltava River out of the city, cruising mostly on smooth pavement and quiet roads—perfect for relaxed spinning.

Expect mostly easy riding, with gentle ups and downs (about 320 meters of ascent in total) as you leave the city and pass through peaceful Czech countryside dotted with small villages and plenty of greenery. About a third of the route is on dedicated cycleways, so you’ll have lots of car-free kilometers to enjoy.
