Cycling day trip from Łęknica to Gubin

This scenic cycling route takes you from the small border town of Łęknica all the way north to Gubin, covering just under 67 km along mostly paved paths and quiet roads—perfect if you want to avoid traffic and enjoy peaceful countryside riding.

You'll start your journey in Łęknica, known for its proximity to the stunning Muskau Park (a UNESCO World Heritage site) and its border crossing into Germany. As you leave town, you’ll find yourself weaving through forests and passing by quaint Polish villages, tackling gentle climbs (about 237 meters of ascent in total) and enjoying even more descent as you go.

The route is about 95% paved, so road or hybrid bikes are a great choice. Most of your trip will be on cycling paths and quiet roads, making it relaxed and pleasant. There’s a tiny bit (3%) where the surface is missing or less than ideal, but these are short sections, nothing to worry about.

You’ll roll into Gubin, another charming border town with a rich history and lovely riverside views—make sure to check out the ruins of the Gubin town hall before grabbing a well-deserved snack or coffee at one of the local cafés.
