Quick ride by bicycle from Krakow to Libertów

This scenic ride takes you from Krakow’s historic center down to the peaceful village of Libertów, just south of the city. Starting in Krakow, you'll pedal past medieval architecture, lively market squares, and maybe even catch a glimpse of the iconic Wawel Castle as you head out.

The first part keeps you on mostly paved and asphalt surfaces, with a nice mix of quiet roads making up most of your route. Expect a gentle but steady ascent of just under 200 meters in total, so you’ll get a little workout without any crazy climbs. Once the city noise fades, the route shifts to more tranquil, green surroundings as you approach Libertów—a laid-back spot known for its suburban charm and rolling landscapes.

With around 16 kilometers from start to finish, this is a great ride if you want to escape the city bustle for a couple of hours and enjoy some of the Polish countryside just beyond Krakow’s borders. Don’t forget to pack some water and maybe a snack for a break in Libertów’s quieter corners!
