Cycling day trip from Navia to Ribadeo

Roll out from Navia, a friendly Asturian coastal town on the Navia River, and head west toward Ribadeo on a scenic, rolling ride along Spain’s green coast. It’s about 62 km with roughly 1,550 m of climbing, so expect punchy hills rather than one big ascent. The route uses mostly quiet roads with some farm tracks and a few short stretches on busier roads; there are bits of gravel/unpaved surface, so wider tires are a plus. Highest point is around 380 m—views are your reward.

You’ll skirt beaches, cliffs, and eucalyptus-lined lanes, crossing from Asturias into Galicia near the Eo estuary. Consider a coffee stop in one of the small fishing villages en route, and keep an eye out for classic horreos and coastal viewpoints.

Finish in Ribadeo, gateway to the spectacular As Catedrais (Cathedrals) Beach a short ride away, and home to the striking early-20th-century Torre dos Moreno. The Eo estuary here is part of a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, and the Puente de los Santos offers big estuary views. Perfect ride for coastal vibes with a bit of adventure.
