By bicycle from Torbole sul Garda to Tenno

Spin out from lakeside Torbole sul Garda—famous for its steady Ora winds and windsurfing vibes—then cruise the waterfront cycleway to Riva del Garda for an easy warm‑up. Skirt town toward Varone and the Cascata del Varone waterfall park, then the real work begins: a steady climb through olive groves and terraced stone walls up toward Tenno.

It’s about 18 km with roughly 470 m of ascent, mostly on paved cycleways and quiet roads, with a few short gravel/ground stretches—nothing technical, but wider tires feel nice. Expect some punchy ramps and rewarding switchbacks with widening views over Lake Garda and the Monte Brione ridge.

Roll into Tenno beneath its medieval castle; the stone hamlet of Canale di Tenno (one of Italy’s “Most Beautiful Villages”) and the turquoise Lago di Tenno are just up the road if you’ve got time for a detour and a gelato.
