Cycling day trip from Pontebba to Udine

Get ready for a beautiful cycling journey from Pontebba down to Udine! This route covers just under 80 km and is perfect if you enjoy a mix of gentle downhills, scenic valleys, and charming Friulian towns. Pontebba, nestled in the Julian Alps near the Austrian border, is a sweet little spot known for its mountain views—so it’s no surprise that you’ll start higher up and enjoy a lot more downhill (over 1200 meters) than climbing (just over 800 meters), making much of this ride a smooth cruise.
