Cycling day trip from Corvara to Cortina d'Ampezzo

This epic ride starts in Corvara, a charming Alpine village in the heart of the Dolomites famous for its picturesque scenery and as a base for the Maratona dles Dolomites. Setting out, you’ll pedal through dramatic mountain passes and lush valleys—nearly half your ride is on unpaved or gravel paths, so be ready for a real adventure!

Expect a big day in the saddle: almost 80 km and plenty of vertical challenge with over 3,400 meters of ascent and just as much descent, topping out at over 2,100 meters elevation. The route mostly sticks to quiet roads, tracks, and gravel paths, so you'll soak in that mountain solitude with the odd marmot or cyclist for company.

You'll finish in Cortina d’Ampezzo, another Dolomite icon, known for its ski culture, café scene, and as a host of the Winter Olympics.
