This ride starts in Zgornje Gorje, a peaceful village known as the eastern gateway to the scenic Pokljuka Plateau, just a short hop from Lake Bled. The route winds southwest, taking you through lush forests, rolling hills, and some amazing mountain views—so keep your camera handy!

You’ll cover just under 24 km, with a solid amount of climbing (over 860 meters ascent), making this a fun challenge for your legs. Most of the way is on paved and asphalt surfaces, and the route avoids the busy main roads where possible, so expect plenty of quiet roads and dedicated cycleways. There’s a short section of gravel too—just enough to add a touch of adventure.

Your destination is Bohinjska Bistrica, a charming little town with stunning alpine surroundings and easy access to Lake Bohinj, Slovenia’s largest natural lake. It’s the perfect spot to relax after your ride, maybe grab a coffee, and soak up those mountain vibes before heading back or exploring further into Triglav National Park.
