Cycling day trip from Umag to Lucija

This ride takes you from the charming Croatian coastal town of Umag to Lucija, a lively Slovenian spot just past the border. Spanning about 23 km, the route blends scenic coastline with lush inland stretches and some gentle rolling hills—expect roughly 180 meters of ascent and descent, but nothing too tough.

Along the way, you’ll pedal on a mix of surfaces—mostly paved and asphalt, but with a good chunk of gravel and unpaved paths. The route keeps things interesting: you’ll cruise quiet roads, roll along tracks, and find stretches of dedicated cycleway, with only a minimal brush with busy roads.
