By bicycle from Poreč to Vrsar

This ride takes you from the charming coastal town of Poreč to the laid-back seaside village of Vrsar—a classic Istrian route perfect for cyclists who love varied terrain. You’ll roll out from Poreč, famous for its UNESCO-listed Euphrasian Basilica and buzzing waterfront, following mostly quiet roads and a good mix of asphalt and gravel. The route gives you a bit of everything: gentle climbs, breezy descents, and scenic stretches through pine forests and olive groves.

About two-thirds of the ride is on paved roads, but expect a few gravel and unpaved sections (nothing too wild, just enough to keep things interesting). Most of the journey is away from busy traffic, so you can really soak in those Istrian landscapes.

Your finish line, Vrsar, is perched above the Adriatic with spectacular views and a lovely old town to explore—grab a gelato by the marina and watch the boats drift by. All in all, it’s a relaxed 16 km spin with a splash of adventure and heaps of seaside charm on both ends.
