By bicycle from Kobilja Glava to Sarajevo

This cycling route takes you on a scenic descent from Kobilja Glava into the heart of Sarajevo. Starting at a higher elevation just north of the city, you’ll roll mostly downhill, dropping over 250 meters as you head toward Bosnia and Herzegovina’s lively capital. Kobilja Glava is a tranquil suburb, offering great views over Sarajevo and the surrounding hills.

The 7.6 km ride keeps you away from heavy traffic for the most part, following quiet roads that make for a relaxed cruise. While most of the surface is good-quality asphalt, be ready for short stretches of gravel or unpaved paths—nothing too technical, but watch out if it’s wet!

As you approach Sarajevo, you’ll feel the energy pick up. Sarajevo is a city rich in history and culture, famed for its old Ottoman bazaar, the Baščaršija, and the iconic meeting of East and West.
