Cycling day trip from Fažana to Medulin

This scenic bike route takes you from the charming seaside town of Fažana down to Medulin on Croatia’s Istria peninsula. Fažana, famous as the gateway to Brijuni National Park and its colorful old harbor, makes a perfect starting point. You’ll pedal through about 23 km of varied terrain, with gentle climbs and downhills totaling around 200 meters of ascent (nothing too daunting).

Expect a nice mix of surfaces—some paved roads, but be ready to handle stretches of gravel and unpaved paths, especially as you cross small villages and country lanes. Most of the ride stays on peaceful backroads, letting you soak up olive groves, vineyards, and classic Istrian countryside, with only short stints on busier routes.
