If you’re looking for a scenic ride across northern Slovenia, this route from Dravograd to Maribor is a true adventure. Starting in Dravograd—right at the confluence of the Drava, Meža, and Mislinja rivers—you’ll head southeast toward Maribor, the country’s lively second-largest city.

It’s no Sunday stroll: expect a hearty challenge, with over 2,200 meters of climbing (and a similar descent). The route spans about 80 km, so bring snacks and plenty of water! Most of your ride will be on quiet roads and cycleways, weaving through forested hills and charming rural landscapes of the Pohorje Highlands.
