Cycling day trip from Buje to Poreč

Get ready for a beautiful ride from Buje to Poreč! You’ll start in the old hilltop town of Buje, known for its charming medieval streets and fabulous Istrian wines. From there, the route rolls south through lush vineyards, olive groves, and woodland trails—classic Istria at its best.

You’ll cover just under 45 km on a mix of surfaces: mostly smooth tarmac, with some stretches of gravel and even a few rustic tracks. Expect steady ups and downs, with about 450 meters of climbing—the highest point tops out at just over 210 meters, so nothing too extreme!

Much of the ride is on quiet rural roads, but be alert for a handful of busier spots and a few unpaved sections, keeping things fun and varied.
